I am writing you this letter with a big hope for your understanding.
I am 31 years old and I come from a very beautiful place, a small country in Europe.
But, for many years I used to live in different countries around the world. Almost 3 years ago, by chance, I got a job in UAE
so I moved to Dubai. This is the first time I ever came to the Middle East. I am still amazed by the life over here. The people, the rulers of this country, the traditions and history…everything is so different but nice from what I used to know. Especially the old ways of how people used to live here are so amazing for me.
Whenever I am not flying, I get alot of free time. So I usually spend it traveling around the country, taking photographs of these beautiful places and learning more and more about UAE.
my main reason why im writing you is that Almost two years ago, I met a wonderful girl, an angel on earth. She helped me so much to understand many things that, as a foreigner, its not easy to see them. She is also the one who showed me the what being a muslim means and how rewarding is to spend your life loving God.
More than a year ago I knew it will be the right decision for me to embrace the muslim faith and I converted.
I became so attached to that girl that I want to spend the rest of my life with her. Besides my parents, there is no other person on this world that I respect more than her. And I know I can do the best I can to make her happy and have a wonderful family.
Unfortunately, I was sad to know that, as much as I love this country and I consider it more than home, the current laws makes it very hard for us to reach our happiness. What makes me even more sad is that the main reason that comes between our marriage is the fact that I am a foreigner.
I thought we all are the same in front of God, and there are no difference between our skin color or where we come from. Isn’t that enough that we all love Allah and we try to do the best we can to thank him for the gifts we got?
you may think im crazy to ask you this but since im foreigner I don’t know why I feel you may help me if not then sorry for wasting your time, all what I wanted is someone to go with me asking the girl hand from her father someone that her father may listen to, and as I said im foreigner even that I muslim but it seems that doesn’t help much. Unfortunately I noticed people here care more about wealth and family names more than how good and respected the man is and that why Im asking you to help me I might have better chance with someone be with me ..
I wish I could come in person and talk to you. I wish you can help me be part of her family and look at you. And I will thank you for ever.
Enshallah,
May God bless you all.
